Our top priority at Data Zoo is building a digital identity ecosystem that promotes trust and confidence for our clients and their users. When dealing with personally identifiable information, it is crucial to prioritise data transparency, protection, privacy and ownership. We are proud of our proactive approach towards privacy, security and compliance, and the constant progress in setting the new standard for identity verification.
December has been a big month for compliance at Data Zoo. Today, we are happy to announce an incredible new milestone for our efforts towards building a privacy-aware and secure digital identity solution; Data Zoo has received our Consumer Data Right (CDR) Accreditation. This means users currently banking with any of the “Data Recipient” Australian banks or financial institutions will be able to avail our identity verification and finance management services.
“In the identity space, the COVID-19 pandemic has proven that users need more privacy and trust”, said Data Zoo CEO Tony Fitzgibbon. “Through our CDR based solution, Data Zoo will empower users with a trusted digital identity, including all elements involved in the identity lifecycle. As a result, we will facilitate users to stay informed and control their financial health. This accreditation reaffirms my belief that we are creating a solution that is innovative and unique”.
“The open banking regime is opening some massive doors for tech companies in Australia, and we are thrilled to be part of it. Our CDR use case is based on months of research and brainstorming to discover and understand the nuances behind it in a practical, real-world environment”, added Head of Compliance & Digital Strategy, Memoona J Anwar.
Data Zoo will continue our commitment with the ACCC and Australia’s Open Banking regime, just like our commitment to other information security standards and regulations, locally as well as globally.
