It has been another show-stopping year for Data Zoo. As one of the world’s fastest-growing identity solution providers, we’ve packed in countless milestones over the last twelve months. Before we head into 2023, let’s take a moment to reflect on the highlights that defined our year.
Our achievements were celebrated
The year started on a high note, with Data Zoo recognised in Gartner’s Market Guide for Identity Proofing and Affirmation. Each year, the prominent technological research and consulting firm publishes an annual guide that provides insight into key market capabilities and the representative service providers who offer these.
The accolades continued, with Data Zoo awarded highly commended in the Software Innovation category at the InnovationAus.com Awards and nominated as a finalist in the Excellence in RegTech category at Fintech Australia’s business awards, The Finnies.
We wrapped up the year by placing on the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 for the second year in a row. The Tech Fast 50 recognises and profiles Australian technology companies that have achieved the fastest annual revenue growth rates over the past three years, with this year’s list achieving record-breaking growth. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and credit our success to our strong leadership, passionate team, and commitment to research, compliance, and innovation.
We fostered a culture of innovation
At Data Zoo, we prioritise research and innovation to create future-focused technology that helps businesses easily adapt to the changing digital landscape. We are committed to fostering a culture of innovation and are excited to have pending patent rights for our invention in 156 countries.
This commitment is reflected in our partnerships. We were proud to partner with Ping Identity to provide seamless identity verification experiences through the PingOne DaVinci platform. Our partnership enables Ping Identity customers to build trust in every digital interaction using our modern identity solutions, which provide extensive coverage in over 100 countries, all through a single global API integration.
We put compliance at the core
At Data Zoo, we place privacy and security at the core of our products, infrastructure, and policies. We pride ourselves on putting our compliance to the test year after year. Our team added an impressive list of certifications to our ever-growing compliance portfolio this year.
IDUX, a part of Data Zoo Group, became an active current provider in Australia’s Consumer Data Right (CDR) ecosystem. This achievement means we can now integrate into the CDR ecosystem with unrestricted level access, the highest level of all access models, allowing us to offer innovative and privacy-aware services to consumers. Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure our processes and technology are up to CDR standards and have accomplished this complex task in a short period.
This year, we proactively undertook the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Star Assessment to maintain our high compliance standard and to provide additional assurance to our customers. The CSA is an industry leder in secure cloud computing and outlines a broad set of expectations and requirements to ensure customers are in safe hands when dealing with Cloud Providers.
Data Zoo became an official member of the FIDO Alliance. We believe strong authentication, interoperability, and biometrics are essential to online identification. We are proud to join global tech leaders across enterprise, payments, telecom, government, and healthcare to support the FIDO Alliance’s mission to reduce the world’s over-reliance on passwords.
Our compliance team completed our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) audit. We have recognised the importance and value of including ESG principles in our business strategy and vision. ESG analysis and reporting provide valuable insights for proactive and future-focused organisations that can help create long-term value for all stakeholders.
Our people were the key to our success
The milestones we achieved this year would not have been possible without our incredible team. We pride ourselves on being a global team with more than 27 languages spoken and 6 impressive offices worldwide.
We experienced another year of rapid growth, welcoming 26 new staff to our team of 80 experts. Our global presence was strengthened with the addition of Ravi Bijlani as President – North America. Ravi joined as a strategic leader across North America, bringing extensive experience in the fintech, digital identity and mobility space. The appointment follows our expansion and significant growth in the region.
Our team were front and centre, sharing their immense industry knowledge this year. Our CEO, Tony Fitzgibbon, was accepted into Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives. Tony was vetted and selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience and has been invited to share his expert insights in original business articles on Forbes.com.
This is just the beginning
In 2023, we are excited to continue helping businesses of all sizes, from Fortune 100 companies to startups, build trust with their customers in every online interaction.
